Courses
How long does the program last?
The program begins with a 4-week Introductory Course, followed by a 32-week Complete Program, totaling 36 weeks. You can also add an 8-week CompTIA® Security+ Certification Exam Prep Course for additional training
Can I earn certifications during the program?
You’ll be equipped to take certification exams, but only the CompTIA® Security+ Certification exam and associated fees are included in the program.
Why is the Introductory Course required?
The 4-week Introductory Course provides a foundational overview of cybersecurity, giving you an opportunity to explore the field and experience our virtual classroom before committing to the full program.
Are certifications included?
The program prepares you for several certifications, but only the CompTIA® Security+ Certification Exam Prep Course (with an exam voucher) is included in the tuition.
What is TDX Arena?
TDX Arena is an advanced cloud-based platform where you can sharpen your offensive and defensive cybersecurity skills in a simulated, real-world environment.
Does the program count as work experience?
Through our TDX Arena platform, you’ll participate in hands-on activities that simulate real-world cybersecurity scenarios, allowing you to apply your knowledge to practical tasks that align with industry needs.
Do I earn a degree?
You will receive a certificate of completion, demonstrating your readiness for a cybersecurity career. Students who opt for the CompTIA® Security+ Certification Exam Prep Course will also receive an exam voucher for this highly regarded industry certification.
Is the curriculum up to date?
Yes, our curriculum is continuously updated to include the latest tools, technologies, and industry standards, ensuring you learn relevant skills.
Where are the classes held?
The program combines 60% live virtual classes with 40% self-paced study. Attend interactive online sessions and engage with instructors and peers through a cloud-based chat platform—all from your preferred location. Select cohorts may also be offered in person.
What is the class schedule?
Our program is designed to fit your busy lifestyle, with evening classes offered on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

Eligibility
Is the program eligible for tax reporting?
The courses and training offered by the Michigan Engineering Professional Education Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp, powered by ThriveDX, are for non-credit programs. As a result, per current Treasury Regulations, we do not include information pertaining to those courses on IRS Form 1098-T. For detailed information, consult IRS Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Higher Education.
Is the program only for current or former students?
No, the Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp is available to anyone, regardless of their professional or educational background.
Do I need a degree or technical background?
No prior degree or tech experience is needed. To discuss your eligibility, please reach out to an Enrollment Advisor at (734) 707-9985.
Can I transfer credits?
Credits earned in the Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp cannot be transferred to other courses or degree programs.
What is the application process?
First, schedule a consultation with an Enrollment Advisor to determine if cybersecurity is right for you. Then, meet with a Senior Enrollment Advisor to discuss the program details and your career goals before beginning the Introductory Course.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to enroll.
Financing
What is the cost of the program?
Tuition is $17,800 for the Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp, not including the $180 for the Introductory Course. Tuition, fees, and deposits are subject to change.
Are financing options available?
Yes, we offer several financing options. Some participants may qualify for personal or private education loans. You can also choose to pay in monthly installments at 0% interest or pay in full after completing the Introductory Course. Florida residents may also be eligible for WIOA funding. Do you offer referral discounts?
Yes. The referred learner would receive a $1,000 discount off the price of the Complete Program. Terms and conditions apply.

Is job search assistance provided?
Yes, the program includes career training such as LinkedIn optimization, resume building, and interview coaching. You’ll also have access to personalized support from our Career Outcomes team.
What virtual events are offered?
Access live events like alumni panels, expert discussions, networking sessions, career readiness talks, and employer pop-up info sessions throughout the program.
Does career support cost extra?
No, career support services are included in the program’s tuition.
Is job placement guaranteed?
While we provide robust job search assistance for up to six months after the program, job placement cannot be guaranteed.

What is a joint cohort?
Select cohorts will use a joint cohort delivery model. Participants will learn from a university-approved instructor and alongside students from other participating universities across the country. After completing the requirements, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Michigan Engineering Professional Education Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp.
